EV charger installation in Calgary

Level 2 home and workplace chargers, installed to code with the permit and inspection taken care of.

Charge at home, overnight

A Level 2 charger runs on a dedicated 240 V circuit and charges many times faster than a regular wall outlet, so most drivers start every day with a full battery.

Before we quote, we check your panel and run a load calculation to the Canadian Electrical Code. If your panel is close to its limit, a load management device or a panel upgrade can make room for the charger.

Need more capacity? See panel upgrades.

  • Tesla Wall Connector and most other major charger brands
  • Attached garages, detached garages and driveway installs
  • Panel checks and load calculations
  • Load management when your panel is near capacity
  • EV-ready rough-ins for new builds and infills
  • Workplace and small commercial chargers
  • Integration with Loxone smart home and solar systems

How an EV charger install works

Send us your vehicle and the charger you have in mind (or ask us to recommend one), plus a photo of your panel if you can.

  1. Panel check. We look at your panel, the charger location and the cable run.
  2. Clear quote. One price, including the permit.
  3. Permit and install. Dedicated circuit, charger mounted and tested.
  4. Inspection. We see it through and show you how it works.

EV charger questions

Do I need a permit for an EV charger in Calgary?

Yes. Adding a circuit for an EV charger needs an electrical permit. We pull it and book the inspection for you.

Can my panel handle a charger?

Often, yes. A load calculation tells us for sure. If it’s tight, a load management device or a panel upgrade solves it.

Which charger should I buy?

It depends on your vehicle and how far you drive. We can recommend one, or install a charger you’ve already bought.

Can you install a charger in a detached garage?

Yes. We run a feeder or circuit out to the garage and install the charger there.
