How a panel upgrade works
We handle the permit, the utility and the inspection, so you only deal with us.
- Site visit. We check your current service, panel and what you plan to add.
- Clear quote. Upgrade, sub-panel or load management, whichever fits best.
- Permit and scheduling. We pull the permit and book the utility disconnect.
- Upgrade day. Old panel out, new panel in, circuits labelled.
- Inspection and reconnect. Power back on and everything tested.
Panel upgrade questions
How do I know what size my service is?
The main breaker at the top of your panel is usually marked 60, 100, 125 or 200. Send us a photo and we’ll tell you what you have.
Will my power be off?
For a service upgrade, yes, for part of the day while the utility disconnects and reconnects. We plan it so you know exactly when.
Is a sub-panel enough instead of a full upgrade?
Sometimes. A sub-panel adds space for circuits but not more total capacity. A load calculation shows which one you need.
Do I need a permit?
Yes. Panel replacements and service upgrades need an electrical permit and inspection. We take care of both.
